This psychologists at Kidz Therapy (part of the KTL Tuition family) use the latest educational breakthroughs in their work.
We apply these same methods to the curriculum our tutors use and the way they teach. E.g., if our assessment reveals that your child prefers using physical senses to learn, we’ll provide a learning environment that taps into this strength.
We provide feedback 24 - 48 hours after each tuition session
Regular, detailed feedback allows you to track what your child is learning and how they are progressing with their studies.

How We Help our Students
KTL Tuition has over 12 years’ experience helping students. Over this time, we’ve figured out what works best for students, whatever their learning needs are. We support our students through:
- A student-centric environment. Our Morningside tuition centre has been purpose built to provide students with a well-resourced learning environment.
- Individualised Learning. Learning is a dynamic and complex process. Everyone learns in different ways at different speeds. We ensure your child’s sessions are targeted to their individual needs.
- One on one tuition sessions. In one-on-one sessions, students can discuss concepts and ask questions in an understanding and supportive environment. Tutors can spend longer on topics that the student finds tricky or stretch and extend students who understand topics quickly.
- Expertise in learning differences and other academic challenges. Our Director, Marie Kelly is an NZ trained Educational Psychologist. She intimately understands challenges caused by learning differences and will assist the tutoring team to find the best learning approach for your child.
- Specialised tutor training, developed by an Educational Psychologist. Every KTL Tuition tutor receives specialised training from Marie to ensure they have a thorough understanding of different learning profiles. We also have a library of technical resources that our tutors use to help children with learning differences work through their unique challenges.
- A knowledgeable and friendly tutoring team. Our tutors are all successful graduates of the New Zealand education system who have moved onto tertiary studies. They are experts at quickly establishing rapport with their students, one of the key elements of a student / tutor relationship.
- The best possible student - tutor match. Marie meets with every student to ensure a successful student - tutor relationship.
- Workshops in key skills. Throughout the year, we run course and workshops that focus on key skills your child needs to reach their potential. Topics include study skills and strategies and essay writing.
